Dunmore: Piano Tutor
APRIL 2008:
I am a resident tutor at two music school locations, THE MUSIC CASTLE in Culver City and WEST VALLEY MUSIC in West Hills (owner: Jeff Gold, 818-992-4142). You may contact either of those school studios for my availability at those locations, or you may schedule private lessons directly through me.
Studio rates apply when attending the studio locations.
DUNMORE RATES (Apr 2008):
$50 per hour.
$35 per half-hour (for very young students who benefit more from shorter
lessons).
TRAVEL: If you visit me, the rates above apply. Travel, add $10. I travel to you in the local area. I am located in the San Fernando
Valley, Encino, California 91436. (You may also travel to the studio locations above if you are conveniently located near them. Studio rates will apply.)
TEACHING: From beginners to advanced. We decide what YOU want to achieve
and I help you meet that challenge. There is no strict curriculum that we
need to follow, as long as you feel that you are achieving your goals, whether
that's learning to play a special song or getting deep into the theory of
the instrument.
For young children, we start with basics, to gain an understanding of the instrument, then quickly move onto playing the type of music the child enjoys listening to.
QUALIFICATIONS:
After ten years of AMEB studies and qualifications, I started teaching piano
in Sydney, Australia when I was just 18 years old, in 1983. I am now based
in Encino California, USA.
AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) - 7th Grade Certificate
piano practical.
AMEB - 6th Grade Certificate piano theory.

PAYMENT PLAN: Your very first lesson is cash upon completion. No obligations. After that lesson, if you would like to continue, we schedule lessons for a month and payment is made in advance for that month.
